This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you visit our Site, subscribe to our newsletter, or enter our competitions and other promotions.

1. What we collect
Contact details: your name, email address, phone, suburb/state.
Competition details: your entry/opt-in preferences and any responses you submit.
Communications: emails or messages you send us and your marketing preferences.
Usage & device data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referral source, and basic analytics/cookie data (see Cookies below).

We generally collect personal information directly from you (e.g., forms on the Site). We may also receive de-identified analytics from third-party tools.

2. Why we collect it (purposes)
• Provide our services and operate promotions (e.g., verifying entries, drawing winners, notifying winners).
• Send newsletters and updates you’ve opted into (recipes, events, product drops, promotions).
• Manage your preferences including unsubscribe and opt-out requests.
• Improve our Site (analytics, troubleshooting, security).
• Comply with legal obligations and reasonable law-enforcement requests.

3. Legal bases / consent
We process your information where you’ve given consent (e.g., ticking a box to receive newsletters or to enter a competition), where it’s necessary for our legitimate interests (e.g., running and improving the Site, preventing fraud), or where we must do so to comply with law. We may share personal information with service providers who help us operate the Site, competitions and email marketing (e.g., web host, email/SMS platforms, analytics, payment/fulfilment if applicable), regulators or law enforcement if required by law, and professional advisers (lawyers, accountants) under confidentiality. We do not sell your personal information.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.pekopeko.com.au (“Site”) operated by Peko Peko. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & jurisdiction
The Site is intended for use by individuals located in Australia. If you access the Site from elsewhere, you are responsible for compliance with local laws. Users under 18 should use the Site with a parent/guardian.

2. Website content (no advice)
Content on the Site is provided for general information and promotional purposes only. While we try to keep information accurate and current, we do not warrant its completeness, reliability or availability. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for reliance on Site content.

3. Accounts and submissions
If you create an account or submit forms (e.g., newsletter, competition entry), you must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for any activity under your email/account.

4. Intellectual property
All Site content, trademarks, logos, photos and designs are owned by or licensed to Peko Peko. You may view the Site for personal non-commercial use. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, adapt or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

5. User content
If you submit content (e.g., comments, reviews, photos), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence to use, reproduce, edit, publish and display that content for our business and promotional purposes. You warrant you own or have rights to that content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or laws.

6. Promotions & competitions
Promotions and competitions run by Peko Peko are subject to these Terms and the specific Promotion Terms published for each promotion (see “Promotion Terms” below). If there is any inconsistency, the Promotion Terms prevail.

7. Email communications & unsubscribe
By entering a competition or subscribing to newsletters, you consent to receiving emails from us relevant to your entry/subscription. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us.

8. Third-party links & tools
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or tools. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Use them at your own risk.

9. Availability & changes
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may update these Terms from time to time; changes are effective when posted with the updated date.

10. Liability (Australian Consumer Law preserved)
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot be excluded.
Subject to the ACL and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, representations and conditions not expressly stated; our liability for breach of a non-excludable guarantee is limited to the resupply of the services or the cost of resupplying the services; and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data.

11. Indemnity
You indemnify us from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia.







Promotion Terms – Peko Peko Spring Knife Giveaway

1) Promoter: Peko Peko Pty Ltd.

2) Eligibility: Australian residents aged 18+.

3) Promotion Period: Opens 1 October 2025 00:00 AWST and closes 31 March 2026 23:59 AWST.

4) How to Enter: During the Promotion Period, visit www.pekopeko.com.au/contest (or follow the link in bio) and submit the entry form, including a valid email address and acceptance of these terms and our Privacy Policy. One entry per person unless otherwise stated.

5) Draws & Winners:
  • Monthly draws on the last day of each month during the Promotion Period.
  • First draw: 31 October 2025.
  • Remaining draws: 30 November 2025; 31 December 2025; 31 January 2026; 28 February 2026; 31 March 2026.
  • One entry remains eligible for all subsequent monthly draws; previous winners are excluded from later draws.
  • Winners selected by random draw.

6) Prizes: Total of 6 prizes, each a Japanese chef’s knife valued at $150 RRP. Total prize pool: $900. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and no cash alternative is offered. Images are for illustrative purposes.

7) Notification & Collection: Winners will be notified by email within 2 business days of the draw. Prizes must be collected within 14 days from Dunsborough or Doubleview (locations and pickup times to be confirmed by email). If a prize is not collected within 14 days, the Promoter may redraw and award the prize to a new winner.

8) Identification: The Promoter may require proof of identity, age and residency.

9) Unclaimed Prize Redraws: Conducted no earlier than 15 days after the original draw at the same place and in the same manner.

10) Privacy & Marketing Consent: By entering, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information for administering the Promotion and, if you opt in, for receiving marketing communications from the Promoter. See our Privacy Policy for details on access, correction and unsubscribe options.

11) Disruption: If the Promotion is interfered with or cannot be conducted as planned (e.g., fraud, technical issues, public health restrictions), the Promoter may, subject to law, modify, suspend or cancel the Promotion.

12) Liability: Except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including the ACL), the Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury arising from entering or accepting a prize.

13) Social platforms: If conducted via Instagram/Facebook/TikTok, the Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with those platforms. You release them from any liability arising from your participation.

14) Disputes: The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
